Their continued growth, driven by a robust pipeline and increasing demand from returning clients, has created an opportunity to strengthen their pre-construction team with an experienced Fit-Out Estimator.

The Opportunity

The business is seeking a Fit-Out Estimator to join its London team, supporting the preparation of accurate, competitive and commercially robust tenders for high-end commercial fit-out projects. This is a key pre-construction role requiring strong technical understanding, commercial judgement and the ability to collaborate closely with designers, supply chain partners and senior leadership.

You will play an integral role in shaping early project strategy, influencing value engineering options, and ensuring pricing reflects both market conditions and the company’s high standards for delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed, accurate estimates for Cat A, Cat B and high-end commercial fit-out projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and project documents to build a clear understanding of scope and pricing requirements.
• Lead quantity take-offs, cost build-ups and tender submissions.
• Engage with supply chain partners to obtain competitive quotations and assess package comparatives.
• Contribute to value engineering proposals, programme optimisation and alternative solutions.
• Support bid presentations, tender interviews and client discussions where required.
• Maintain strong commercial awareness of market pricing, labour rates and supply chain capacity.
• Work closely with project management, commercial and design teams to ensure alignment from tender through handover.

Required Experience & Background

• Proven experience as an Estimator within a fit-out contractor or specialist consultancy.
• Strong understanding of commercial fit-out, workplace interiors, refurbishment or small-works projects.
• Ability to interpret design information, scope documents and client briefs with accuracy.
• Strong take-off skills and familiarity with cost build-up methodologies.
• Experience working in fast-paced tendering environments with multiple deadlines.
• Confident in engaging with supply chain partners and evaluating quotations.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Degree or background in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Construction Management or related field.
• Strong numerical and analytical capabilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to support client-facing tender activities.
• Well-organised, proactive and able to work independently within a collaborative pre-construction team.
• Proficiency with estimating software and relevant digital tools.
