What They Are Looking For
The organisation is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its Dublin-based pre-construction team. Reporting to the Estimating Manager and Commercial Director, this role will take a leading position in the preparation of competitive, accurate tenders across commercial fitout and high-end interior projects.
This appointment supports the business’s continued success in securing premium work and widening its presence across the commercial property sector. The successful candidate will take ownership of the tender process—from initial inquiry through to final submission—ensuring all costings, subcontract engagement, and build methodologies are robust, accurate, and aligned with both client requirements and commercial objectives.
A detail-driven, commercially astute Estimator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating across multiple project functions will excel in this role.

Responsibilities

Lead the estimating process for commercial fitout and refurbishment projects, ensuring accurate, timely tender submissions.

Prepare first-principles estimates for finishes, partitions, ceilings, joinery, services interfaces, and all related fitout elements.

Complete detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Engage proactively with subcontractors and suppliers: issue inquiries, assess quotations, negotiate pricing, and ensure compliance.

Analyse market conditions, logistics, and historical data to ensure competitive and commercially viable tenders.

Collaborate closely with design, commercial, and operational teams to assess buildability, develop value engineering proposals, and refine methodologies.
Criteria for the Role

Demonstrable experience as an Estimator or Assistant Estimator within a contractor or subcontractor environment.

Strong background in pricing commercial fitout, refurbishment, or high-end interiors projects.

Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial skills, with high attention to detail.

Proficiency in estimating software such as Buildsoft, alongside advanced Excel capability.

Excellent communication skills and ability to prepare clear tender documentation.

Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics preferred.
