What They Are Looking For
The business is seeking an ambitious Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join its Dublin-based team. Sitting within a growing commercial function and reporting to the Commercial Manager, the successful candidate will take ownership of commercial packages across a range of renewable energy and technical infrastructure projects.
This role exists to support continued expansion in the renewables sector and the increasing complexity of commercial requirements associated with specialist equipment, installation works, and international supply chains. The successful candidate will be heavily involved in cost management, procurement, contract administration, and change control, while developing deep sector knowledge aligned to long-term industry growth.
A proactive, analytical QS with strong commercial instincts and a genuine interest in sustainable technologies will excel in this forward-thinking environment.

Responsibilities

Manage financial performance of assigned packages within renewables and energy projects, including cost control, forecasting, and CVRs.

Develop sector expertise across specialist areas such as solar, wind, and battery storage installations.

Administer subcontracts and support main contract requirements, often involving NEC or FIDIC forms common in the energy sector.

Lead procurement for subcontractor and specialist equipment packages; prepare tender documentation and conduct tender analysis and negotiations.

Measure, value, and negotiate variations and change orders to secure commercial entitlement.

Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks unique to technical and energy-focused environments.
Criteria for the Role

3–5 years’ experience as a Junior/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor within a contractor or consultancy environment.

Strong interest in or exposure to renewables, energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.

Strong analytical capability with meticulous cost management and negotiation skills.

Working knowledge of standard construction contracts; NEC or FIDIC experience is an advantage.

Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
