What They Are Looking For

The business is seeking a motivated Graduate Estimator to join its pre-construction team in Omagh. Working closely with senior estimators and commercial managers, the successful candidate will assist in preparing competitive cost estimates, analysing project documentation, and supporting the tendering process across multiple project types.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates across a wide range of construction projects.

  • Analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications to develop an understanding of project scope.

  • Support procurement activities, including issuing enquiries and evaluating supplier quotations.

  • Help track and record project cost data, identifying basic variances where applicable.

  • Collaborate with senior estimators, commercial teams, and project staff to support bid development.

  • Engage in structured learning and mentorship to build estimating skills and sector knowledge.


Criteria for the Role

  • Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a willingness to learn specialist software.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and motivation to grow within the construction sector.
